Holdcroft Majolica heron & bulrushes wall pocket

Victorian, circa 1870. 12.2ins high, 7.7ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica wall pocket which features a heron stood in front of reeds/bulrushes.



Colouration: green, white, cobalt blue, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Small chip to pocket rim.



Small flake to one wing tip.



KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.





RESTORATION; remodelled ends to both protruding bulrushes,









tip of feathers on heron's head,



and end of beak;



retouched flakes to wings.
