Holdcroft Majolica pictorial moon vase (large)

Victorian, circa 1870. 23ins high, 12.6ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica vase which features hand painted scenes on both sides.





Putti seated by the neck of the vase holding floral swags. Colouration: brown, cream, turquoise, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Flakes to putti's clothes, toes and to the floral swags.

















Flaking to ground in places.











RESTORATION. Base and both putti's left feet reglued and joins retouched.









Filled chip to base.



Retouching (some old) to where neck joins main body of the vase.
