Majolica Palissy mouse & corn toothpick holder

Victorian, circa 1890. 3.5ins high, 2.8ins wide, 3.1ins depth.

Angelico Portuguese Palissy Majolica toothpick holder which features a mouse resting on a head of corn.



Colouration: green, ochre, brown, are predominant.







The piece bears maker's marks for the Angelico pottery.

Generally good. Small, shallow chip to underside.



Flakes to leaves.





RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to base rim and leaves.







Remodelled both ears to mouse.
