Victorian, circa 1867. 5.1ins high, 5.3ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features oak leaves and acorns to the sides and a snail to the handle.
Colouration: brown, green, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '34 553'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

CONDITION: Generally good. Small flake to foot rim.
Staining from use.
Some wear to the handle.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior;
glaze run to the brown glaze.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
