Copeland Majolica flower basket

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.1ins high, 12.4ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Copeland Majolica flower basket which features a woven basket with entwined handles.



Colouration: ochre, turquoise, puce, are predominant.











The piece bears maker's marks for the Copeland pottery. Bears a pattern number, 'T78'.


Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Some small flakes to exterior.









KILN EFFECTS: piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.



RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to underside, one running up the side.

Stabilised and retouched crack to bottom of one handle.
