Victorian, circa 1870. 10ins high, 10.2ins wide, 10.2ins depth. George Jones Majolica jardinière which features magnolia blossom, leaves and branches. Moths in-between.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: green, turquoise, brown, are predominant.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Tight hairline to underside, shows through on bottom of interior.
Small chip to bee's wing.
Minor wear to the high points of the molding.
Stained crazing to interior from use.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to bee's wing;
crazing to the cobalt blue ground.
RESTORATION. Old retouched chip to petal.
