George Jones Majolica fern platter

Victorian, circa 1870. 11.9ins high, 16.1ins wide, 1.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica platter which features ferns and leaves with twig handles. Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery.

Very good. No restoration. Slight wear to the high points of the molding.







KILN EFFECTS: craze line to one handle;





glaze misses to the reverse;





slight glaze run to the brown glaze.
