Wedgwood Majolica kneeling Princess figure

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.9ins high, 8.3ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica figural which features a princess kneeling on a pillow with two servants holding her train.







Colouration: turquoise, orange, green, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, '6'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.







Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Small flake to her left shoulder.



Small flake to her nose.



RESTORATION. Her head and both servants reglued and joins retouched.













Remodelled end of her hat.





Stabilised and retouched crack through one servant's arm and one through other servant's leg.





Filled chip to feather on one servant.



Filled chips to ends of her dress.







Retouched flakes to servants, her face, arms, hand, cushion and one to base edge.
