Majolica leaves on basket plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Majolica plate which features four overlapping leaves with scalloped rim.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECT: slight cloudiness to the glaze in places.

RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.

Filled chip to the underside of the rim.
