Wedgwood Majolica oak leaves cheese dome and stand
Victorian, circa 1874. 8.4ins high, 11.6ins wide, 11.6ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica cheese keep which features oak leaves and acorns.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1874.

CONDITION: Cover: Good. No restoration. Slight wear to the exterior and handle.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue glazes;
staining to the interior from use.
Base: Generally good. Some flaking around the rim and foot rim.
Wear and scratches from use to the interior.
KILN EFFECTS: staining from use.
RESTORATION: filled chips to rim;
stabilised and retouched cracks to rim and centre (one still partly visible to underside).
