Majolica wedge-shaped cheese dish & cover

Victorian, circa 1880. 7.5ins high, 12.4ins wide, 12ins depth. Majolica cheese keep which features flowers, ivy and berries.









Colouration: turquoise, white, green, are predominant.

CONDITION: Cover: Good. No restoration. Some small flakes to one bud, handle and top edge.











Wear to the high points of the molding.





KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack and chip to one corner;



glaze miss to the interior.



Stand: Generally good. Some flakes to border and rim.











Scratches and wear from use.









RESTORATION. Filled chips to foot rim and under rim.
