Victorian, circa 1870. 4.3ins high, 7.5ins wide, 6.3ins depth.

Holdcroft Majolica pâté box which features a lobster and seaweed.



Colouration: cobalt blue, green, puce, are predominant.

Cover: Generally good. Small flake to one claw.



Staining from use.



KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the ground.







RESTORATION. Filled chip to inner rim.



Dish: Fair. Some small flakes to leaves and rim.







Staining from use to inside and underside, quite extensive.





RESTORATION. Filled chips to stand rim,









under rim and foot rim.









Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim.





Retouched flakes to rim, exterior and leaves.
