Small Majolica Palissy gecko wall plate

Victorian, circa 1890. 4.3ins high, 4.3ins wide, 1.6ins depth. Mafra Portuguese Palissy Majolica plate which features two geckos.
Colouration: green, brown, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

Some small flakes to green shredded clay









and three to foot rim associated with stilt marks.
