Rare Majolica Square shaped Asparagus serving plate

Victorian, circa 1890. 9.3ins high, 9.3ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Majolica plate which features asparagus, leaves, and a well decorated with an artichoke.





Colouration: turquoise, green, brown, are predominant. Bears a pattern number, '31H'.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration. Wear to the high points of the molding.





KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior;



over glazed chip to the under rim.
