Holdcroft majolica double blue tit ink well

Victorian, circa 1870. 3.9ins high, 13ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica inkwell which features two blue tits
sitting either end of a leaved oak branch.



Colouration: green, blue, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Inkwell: Good.

Small flake to the rim.



Stained crazing to one end from use.





KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the feet.



RESTORATION. One bird reglued and join retouched.





Cover: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to bird heads.



RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to both beaks.
