Wedgwood Majolica Melon fruit plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 8.9ins high, 8.9ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features a melon, strawberries and plums on a basket weave ground. Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, ' M 2913 B'.

Small flake to rim.



Staining to reverse from use.





Wear to the high points of the molding.
