Majolica fern leaf & flower plate
Victorian, circa 1880. 8.3ins high, 8.3ins wide, 1.2ins depth. Majolica plate which features fern fronds, leaves and blossom. Turquoise ground version.
Colouration: green, white, ochre, are predominant.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Two small flakes to leaf moldings.
Some wear to front and reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit and some flecks of stray coloured glaze caught in the glaze to the front;
glaze accumulation to the foot rim.
RESTORATION: Restored chip to under rim and chips to foot rim.
Retouched flakes to rim.
