BWM Majolica Rabbit box & cover
Victorian, circa 1870. 7.5ins high, 7.1ins wide, 6.9ins depth.
Brown Westhead Moore & Co Majolica box and cover which features a rabbit in a crate, with vegetables on top.
Colouration: grey, green, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Brown Westhead Moore & Co pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '758 T'.

Condition
Cover: Good. Small flake to corner of one beam and to leaves on top.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to cabbage leaves, rim and flange.
Base: Good. Staining from use.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the ground;
shrinkage lines to two corners and one to rim.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to one corner of rim and to two leaves.
Retouched paint losses to rabbit's face.
