Minton Majolica four tier oyster stand

Victorian, circa 1870. 10.6ins high, 11.8ins wide, 11.8ins depth.

Minton Majolica oyster stand which features four tiers of open oyster shells, laid on seaweed.



Colouration: green, cream, brown, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. A few flakes to the shells.

















KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to one shell.



RESTORATION: Filled chip to one seaweed section on top tier.



Filled chips to shells - seven on bottom tier,















one on third tier,



and one on top tier.



All of which have overspray to at least 1/3 of shell.

Stabilised and retouched crack to shell on bottom tier.
