Pair Holdcroft Majolica birds & blossom vases

Victorian, circa 1880. 12.2ins high, 7.5ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Majolica vase which features blossoming branches and birds in flight.



Colouration: turquoise, brown, ochre, are predominant.

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. No restoration.

Slight wear to rim and exterior.







KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join



and to one bird's wing.



Vase 2: Very good. No restoration.

Slight wear to exterior.







KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze;









a few tiny glaze pops.
