Small Mintons Majolica cat pitcher with pewter lid

Victorian, circa 1875. 4.9ins high, 4.4ins wide, 2ins depth.

Mintons Majolica jug/pitcher which features a cat.



Colouration: white, brown, green, are predominant.









The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 01/?/?.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1876.

Generally good. Some wear to thumb piece.



Slight wear to base.



RESTORATION: filled chips to base and rim;







small stabilised and retouched hairline to rim;



remodelled handle;



pewter lid is slightly misshapen.
