Copeland Majolica gift-on-sleigh sardine box

Victorian, circa 1870. 4.7ins high, 4.8ins wide, 9.3ins depth.

Copeland Majolica sardine box which features a box, gift wrapped, resting on a sleigh.



Colouration: brown, cobalt blue, ochre, are predominant.









The piece bears maker's marks for the Copeland pottery.

Cover: Generally good. Staining from use to the underside.



RESTORATION: stabilised and retouched crack across the lid.





Retouched flakes to finial.





Dish: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze.



RESTORATION: filled chips to rim.
