Victorian, circa 1890. 2ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth.
Elias Portuguese Palissy Majolica toothpick holder which features three figs and a fig leaf.
Colouration: brown, green, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Elias pottery.

Condition
Good. No restoration. Very small flakes to edges of the central leaf and some of the rim of the toothpick holes.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the plate rim;
tiny glaze pop to one of the figs;
piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle.
