Minton Majolica pineapple jug

Victorian, circa 1872. 7.9ins high, 5.9ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features a pineapple.



Colouration: yellow, green, are predominant.











The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '9 538'. English diamond registration mark for the date 5/10/1858.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1872.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Some small flakes to leaves , handle and rim.









Scratches to the underside.



KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green glaze;







flecks of stray coloured glaze to the spout.
