Wedgwood Majolica butterfly & insect reticulated plate
Victorian, circa 1874. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 0.7ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica plate which features a butterfly, beetle, blossom and leaves. Cream ground version. Colouration: cream, ochre, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1003'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.

Small flake to underside of reticulated rim.
Scratches from use.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the interior;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.
