Victorian, circa 1875. 2.2ins high, 8.1ins wide, 8.1ins depth.

George Jones Majolica compote which features strawberry leaves and flowers growing from the branch molded rim.



Cobalt blue ground version.



Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant.



The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3363'. English diamond registration mark for the date 25/??/1873.

Condition

Generally good. Light scratches to the interior from use.



KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the rim;



slight glaze run to the cobalt glaze.





RESTORATION: Three filled chips to rim.







Old metal repair to branch feet.
