Pair Minton Majolica hand painted, signed, pictorial vases
Victorian, circa 1869. Tallest is 8.5ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Pair of Minton Majolica vases which feature hand painted scenes, featuring birds. (Vultures, Herons, Cranes). Signed, 'Nina 1869'.
Colouration: white, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '487'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1866.

Condition
CONDITION: Vase 1: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the rim;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the rim;
glaze misses to the base edge.
Vase 2: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the base edge.
RESTORATION. Small section of rim reglued and join retouched.
