George Jones Majolica strawberry jar & cover

Victorian, circa 1870. 6.7ins high, 7.9ins wide, 5.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica pot and cover which features strawberry fruits, leaves and flowers. Colouration: turquoise, green, puce, are predominant.









The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3555'.

KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the inner rim.



Pot: Generally good.

Tight hairline to rim.





KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.



RESTORATION: Remodelled loop on handles.
