Victorian, circa 1872. 4.4ins high, 9.6ins wide, 11.4ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica strawberry server which features a bird (goldfinch) perched on the rim between wells. Mottled ground version.
Colouration: green, brown, pink, are predominant.

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight wear to bird's tail feathers.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the wells.
RESTORATION: bird reglued to the branch and joins retouched;
filled chips to the rim and one to the bird's beak
