Victorian, circa 1890. 15.2ins high, 15.2ins wide, 2ins depth. Caldas Da Rainha Majolica wall charger which features fishes, an eel, shells and seaweed. Colouration: are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Caldas Da Rainha pottery.

Some small flakes to shells.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;
glaze run to the brown glaze;
shrinkage line to the largest fish's mouth.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim,
eel's tail
and pike's fin.
