Large Delphin Massier Majolica donkey figure

Victorian, circa 1890. 14.4ins high, 16.5ins wide, 8.7ins depth. Delphin Massier Majolica figural which features a donkey carrying two baskets.





Colouration: grey, green, yellow, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Chip to edge of left ear.



Some small flakes to basket rims, rope base and upper base edge.



















RESTORATION. Left front ankle and left ear reglued and joins retouched.









Retouched flakes to tip of right ear, basket rims and base.
