Sarreguemines Majolica 'bathroom' advertising sign

Victorian, circa 1900. 7.3ins high, 10.4ins wide, 6ins depth. Sarreguemines Majolica advertising sign which features a bathroom, with a toilet and a heating system.





Colouration: are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Sarreguemines pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3364'.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the brown edge at the top and to the front of the base.









RESTORATION. Remodelled toilet.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to right side of fire place.



Retouched flakes to fireplace and scrolls to reverse.
