WMF Silver plated maiden & dove table mirror

Circa 1910. 15.25ins by 10.25ins wide. WMF Art Nouveau table mirror. The frame has a maiden on the left holding out her hand to a dove perched below her. Original bevelled glass and twisted rod support to the reverse.





Embossed number '11508' to reverse of the frame.



Impressed 'WMF' ostrich mark , 'I/O' - normal thickness of gilding or silver-plating and 'O/X' - oxidised to the underside.

Condition

Generally good.

Crack to top of frame.



Crack to bottom of dress.



Bend to side, next to screw mount.





Some scratches, wear and tarnishing to the plating (which is almost completely rubbed away).





RESTORATION: Old repaired cracks to dress



and foot of mirror.
