Large Pair Staffordshire Jackfield spaniels
Early 20thC, circa 1920. Tallest is 12.2ins high, 9.8ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Jackfield black version. Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the spaniel's body.
RESTORATION: Replacement glass eyes.
Left facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the reverse;
touch mark to the op of the spaniel's head.
RESTORATION: Replacement glass eyes.
