Staffordshire Pearlware stag figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 6.9ins high, 6.1ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a recumbent stag, seated on an oval base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.

Condition
Generally good.
A few paint losses to the ground
and stag's body.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the hind left leg
and side of base;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the face.
RESTORATION: retouched paint losses to the ground;
filled chips to both ears and antlers.
