Victorian, circa 1850. 5.4ins high, 3.5ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Staffordshire porcellaneous pastille burner which features a hexagonal cottage with the roof supported by pillars, on a shaped base.
White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Opening to the reverse. Maker's marks to the underside.

CONDITION: Generally good. Hairline to one pillar.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the roof;
tiny glaze pops to the base and roof;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base.
RESTORATION: Old restoration to roof of one turret.
