Staffordshire pug dog standing figure

Victorian, circa 1880. 9.6ins high, 7.5ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a pug, stood on a rectangular base.





Multi-coloured version. Bright gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Hairline to the underside.



Some rubbing to gilt.





KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;



touch mark to the pug's side;



small firing pits to the ground.



RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to muzzle.
