Victorian, circa 1860. 12.6ins high, 9.4ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a boy standing beside an oversized Afghan hound, seated on an oblong base.
Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Small flakes to dog's nose and boy's hat.
Paint losses to boy's hat and boots.
Rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to base edge at front and reverse;
patchy glaze application to dog's muzzle;
stained crazing to dog's left ear and boy's left arm;
shrinkage line along the mold join to dog's chest and neck.
