Walton Staffordshire Pearlware girl with lamb figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 5.5ins high, 3.3ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Walton Staffordshire pearlware bocage figure with a pastoral theme which features a girl playing with a lamb, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.
Maker's marks Walton molded ribbon.

Condition
Generally good. Small flake to lower base edge and to tip of two leaves.
KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to base at reverse and to girl's left hand;
fleck of stray coloured glaze to girl's left arm.
RESTORATION. All four bocage branches reglued and join retouched.
Filled chips to 3 bocage leaf tips. One bocage leaf remodelled. 90% of bocage is original pottery.
