Large Pair Staffordshire legs-free russet&white spaniels
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 13.6ins high, 8.7ins wide, 5.3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature spaniels, seated directly on the ground, no base. Russet and white version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Right facing: Good. No restoration.
One shallow chip to lower base edge just under dog's tail.
Some paint losses to the dog's markings,
paws
and face.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to reverse of dog's left ear;
shrinkage crack under the top of the dog's front left leg.
