Staffordshire Pearlware piper with dog&sheep figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 6.7ins high, 3.9ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware bocage figure with a musical theme which features a boy playing a pipe,
with his dog and two sheep beside him, stood on a circular base.
Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
Small flake to dog's nose and base edge.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to his jacket,
face
and leaves.
RESTORATION: Remodelled end of pipe and one leaf to bocage.
Bocage branch and leaf reglued and join retouched.
