Staffordshire Pearlware ram bocage figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1830. 3.9ins high, 3.5ins wide, 2ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware bocage figure which features a ram in front of a flowering tree,
recumbent on a shaped hollow base.



Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.







Open bottomed.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze;







over glazed shrinkage line to hind left leg.



RESTORATION: filled chip to right ear.





Filled chips to ends of bocage leaves to the front;









retouched flakes to bocage leaves and flowers.
