Staffordshire russet & white cow creamer
Victorian, circa 1900. 4.3ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Staffordshire cow creamer with a pastoral theme which features a cow, stood on an oval base. Russet and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Hole with cover to cow's back. Mouth forms a pouring hole.

Condition
Creamer: Generally good.
Some paint losses to the ground.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to cow's head,
both right legs
and to the left ear;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the cow;
touch marks and an overglazed chip to the base edge.
RESTORATION: remodelled right horn;
retouched flake to the rim
and to the cow's markings.
Cover: Good.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the top.
RESTORATION: filled chip to the rim;
retouched paint losses.
