Staffordshire Pearlware Shepherd carrying sheep
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 8.7ins high, 3ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure with a pastoral theme which features a shepherd carrying a sheep over his shoulder, stood on a square base. Multi-coloured version. Painted base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Generally good.
Small flake to his right cuff.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base.
RESTORATION: Retouched flake to the base
and paint losses to his hat,
shoes
and base.
Sheep's legs and the rope reglued and joins retouched.
