Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 4.9ins high, 6.5ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire inkwells which feature a whippet, recumbent on a cobalt blue base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to whippet's back.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the nose and reverse

RESTORATION: Retouched flakes to nose and ears.
