Pair Staffordshire Pugs with glass eyes
Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 12.2ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.7ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a pug, seated on a shaped base.
Bright gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small chip to the left ear.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the tail;
finger prints to the base;
touch marks to the base.
Left facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the left front leg;
over glazed chip to the base edge.
RESTORATION: End of right ear remodelled.
Retouched flake to his muzzle.
