Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 12.4ins high, 9.4ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a boy and girl standing beside an oversized afghan hound,
seated on an oblong base.
Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to reverse of one.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good.
A few small chips to the lower base edge at reverse.
Small flake to reverse.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join to dog's back;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the front and reverse;
notable crazing.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched crack to the underside.
Filled chip to arm and back of boy.
Retouched paint losses to dog's markings.
