Pair Staffordshire No.2 white & gilt spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 9.8ins high, 6.7ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt collar and locket.
Flatback, decorated only to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.
Maker's marks no.2 molded into the underside.

Condition
Right facing: Good. No restoration.
Chip to the right front paw.
Chip to underside, not visible when sat on a flat surface.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join the right ear and back.
Left facing: Good. No restoration.
Tight hairline to the left ear at the reverse.
Small flake to the tail.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the hind left paw.
