Pair Staffordshire russet&white spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 7.5ins high, 5.1ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Russet and white version. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Chip to underside, not visible when sat on a surface.
A few paint losses to paws, left ear, tail and locket.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the reverse.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to nose, eyes, ears and russet markings.
Left facing: Good. A few paint losses to paws, collar and tail.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to the left hind paw;
firing pit to the spaniel's back;
shrinkage crack to the base edge at reverse.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to the tail, markings, ears, nose and eyes.
