Pearlware Staffordshire 'Water' figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 8.3ins high, 3.5ins wide, 2.8ins depth.
Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a woman next to a water fountain, stood on a square base.
The piece is titled, 'Water' . Multi-coloured version. Painted base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Book reference not found.
Condition
Generally good. A few paint losses to ground, her coat and title.
Some small flakes to shredded clay.
RESTORATION: Right index finger remodelled.
Head reglued and join retouched.
Retouched paint loss to her coat,
shoes and ground.
